Around town, its cool and I unfortunately like it but I don't see no one buying it over a Charger Daytona especially if they stick a Pentastar in a budget one next year.

The RT is too heavy with the battery pack, GLH may be better since it'll have stage kits and about 500lbs lighter than the RT. Kuniskis said it'll have at least 375tq, so it might have decent performance but the price, as I told Dodge, is 10-15k higher than a respectable amount. Hornet is a rebadged Alfa Romeo that's a rebadged Jeep Compass. Dimensions, wheelbase, fuel tank size, cargo capacity all line up between all models.

Seriously? The Hornet is a tarted up Jeep Compass?!! And they want 40-50k for them?!

Yep. I was at a dealer taking my Demon in for service and I couldn't help but notice the compass looked damn near the same exact size of the Hornet. Looked at the stats and it's like they took the Compass, especially since it is sold in Europe as a 4xe and made the Tonale/Hornet off the same chassis, jsut made an onroad version of a Compass. The Hornet RT even has the exact same engine from the European Compass 4xe.

Platforms has been interchangeable between models for years. The high cost of developing platforms brought this on back in the 50s.

The Charger is on the Large platform and the EV version is 5800lbs which is another travesty. I wonder what the Hurricane version will weigh.

They could go with the medium platform for a cost affective alternative but keep the Hurricane.

Almost 300hp, and super practical. All these crossover/tranny vehicles are just government mandated transportation for the brain-dead sheeple.
If people were so worried about mileage and safety, why are only RAM and Jeep selling? You're not gonna force ICE lovers into little shit-boxes.

Avis has given me two of those in a row now. The Chrysler version. Comfy, the one this week as all the whistles and bells and yes it is a bit “spunky” and gets 26-28 mpg. All while it has controls, gauges and visuals like my Mopars in my garage. No bullshit fairly practical. Agree.

Those were $33-34k MSRP, Charger R/T and 300C look so great in comparison! But the days of a good $30-40k car seem to be a long ways behind us.
Funny you compare the Charger R/T. The day I raced my bone stock Fusion Sport, there was as guy there with a 2010 Charger R/T.

He had a tune and sticky tires, I beat him by a tenth in the quarter (my 13.8 to his 13.9).

Was that a 2.7? Guy around here with a tuned one running 12.4
Yup, the 2.7 twin turbo ecoboost.

There's a guy on YT called TwinForce_Fusion. He's running 11.9's, but he's not the fastest. He kept a list, and the fastest one's are running mid 11's.

...but it's a Fusion. I've beat older SS Camaros with my 14 Caravan, stoplight racing.

I dont think this guy was going for fastest, said it only had a tune. We need more cars like this that are daily family cars where a few tweaks will go 12s or 11s and dont cost 50k plus

HaHa! The old "but it's still a ...." comment.

Sure, the Fusion was not a sports car/muscle car. But when I bought it new it was on the lot for a year, and I got the largest discount I ever received on a vehicle with that car (something like $6-$7,000).

It was a high 13 sec car right off the showroom floor, and I didn't need a Winter car because it was AWD. It suited my needs perfectly at the time

It's funny when you go to the drag strip today, seeing more people on their laptops to get more hp than actually getting their fingers dirty. Lol
