The factory chiller disengagea at WOT and above 4k RPm. Having the stock redeye suspension in track mode won't allow proper weight transfer and will just cause traction issues.
This issue is normally associated with improper tire pressure and or poor track conditions. Ive always been able to remedy this with proper tire settings. Nothing wrong with the cars, you just need to learn what the car wants. The so called hiccup results from the engine coming up on the limiter...
You bring up some interesting points and weight is not our friend for sure. For us, going low 9s and 8s at weight is not enough...the car has to do it and stay together week after week. The durability aspect becomes more difficult the heavier and faster you get. To me, a Hellcat is a streetcar...
Are you able to log knock retard and Injector duty cycle with that device and no laptop? Did you install the security gateway bypass cable [the hp tuners version installs behind the radio].
Point is that I didn't need the pulleys to outrun other cars that had them. And many of those drivers were quite experienced. You can think it's false info if it makes you feel better, but the wins don't lie.
And yes, we could have gone faster adding pullies... But why bother when you're...
No plaque for the records... But lots of trophies and prize money from all the events that car won backing those records up in competition...against pullied cars. Lol
What good is adding a pulley and it's " free hp" so to speak if your car still can't outrun the car without the pulley swap...
131 is the closest track that runs during the week and we needed the data. Trying to get the car dialed in for some upcoming events. Made some progress but still have work to do. Will be at Norwalk for Hemifest July 23-25.
Pulley swap not required and we knew how to go fast without it. Lots of pullied hellcats couldnt run that number back then and still cant run that number now.
Had a 16 hellcat also with the older style stock airbox. Some of numbers that car put up years ago still have not been surpassed. There still isn't a hellcat out there that can or has run 9.8x with any airbox.. on a tune , injectors, and dual pumps. The airbox was not a limitation even back then.
The 2.7l IHi blower is good to about 20k blower RPM. A 2.85 litens is a good choice and will operate under that depending on your engine RPM. At that boost level , I wouldnt consider a flex tune or even think about running 91 or 93 octane. Some shops do sell flex tuning on setups this big ( and...
No prob. The rain made things hectic for all. Drove almost 400 miles round trip to make 2 passes because of it. Besides, Still running the stock airbox and filter here so Im not cool enough to hang with you guys in the aftermarket intake crew anyway. lol
As I recall, you asked if I had any work done to it and I replied yes , a few things. lol. We always run no ET during testing at every track. It had nothing to do with you. Car was in the pits with the hood open, you were more than welcomed to take a look. Its pullied, with a tune , injectors ...
