Doubt it’s true, but if it were, coupled with less weight up front and a Demon suspension to transfer weight sure would be interesting. Not to mention the robust rotating internals would be very open to slightest tune thrown at it. Keep the crate kit.
Gimmmme that Woolly Mammoth. Pigs and Elephants have a better chance of flying though

If that rumor is true.. I’m guessing a iron block 426 with the IHI 3.0 and a flex fuel system that will be CARB compliant at 909 hp on E85 and something less on pump gas. If it’s a 426 they can still call it a Hellephant even if it’s not the aluminum crate version. I’m hoping to be there on the track. We’re supposed to find out on the 21st.

Doesn't make sense at all that they were blowing up 426 stroker @ only 909. They have already done the R&D to get the Hellaphant at 1000 with just pump gas. Does not add up at all.

I am kicking around the thought of going out to check it out and also make a run to my retirement property. If I do get out there I‘d love to see that Stinkeye Mark.

That dirty CARB word has a lot to do with stuff like this. The crate Hellephant isn’t compliant. Should be a fun event though. If I get selected to be one of the few who get to race, come by and take a look.

I don’t think the new mill will be as unique as a Hellephant… and should (probably will be) produced in an assembly line in Mexico and not by hand out of some small shop.
Your right if the engine isn’t the same or at least Godamned close it should not be be called Hellephant. Mark is also right about not meeting emissions, so logic prevails if it were to be 426 cubes it would take some serious detunig to get it street legal. Any moderate to large production most likely rules out hand built, and likely not aluminum. So at that point, what’s the point. Oxymoron me says why buy it. Put some meat on the bone or it’s just Smokeshow and mirrors.

I would like to see slightly detuned Hellaphant, E85 flex not with inferred. Demon suspension, light carbon fiber wheels that stay on the studs. Limit the options, colors and yes “stickers” just a couple of F.Y. see ya badges to make a departing statement and get the most cars out there to the ICE diehards. After all isn’t that what it’s mostly about.
1971 again at Dodge.
