I want to replace my steering wheel with a quick release race setup. My wheel is locked in place due to the electric adjustable feature being disconnected because of my race seats. That means I have to squeeze by that thing getting in and out when the door bars are in at the track. The quick release device has to be welded to the steering wheel shaft. Here’s the problem...... the so called “clock spring” thing with the turn signal and rest of the electrical stuff in there has the steering shaft going thru it. Anyone have enough experience in this area to offer some advice. I want to add one of these while retaining all that.... 🤪 9A821BAD-70DE-4453-B564-BAEE8383E739.jpeg E05A24F7-940C-49E7-9115-9CB52A45E30F.jpeg

Race cars don't have turn signals...
or wipers
or squirters
or powered pedals

You don't need no stinking column!
(looking forward to seeing how you make this work :) )

Haha. I don’t already have wipers or squirters and much of what other civilized cars have. But I would like to have turn signals for when the cop is behind me in the left turn lane wondering whether he wants to pull me over and talk about that parachute on the back 😂

That’s what I’m hoping. I went on the website and they have like a hundred variations. Nice stuff. Too late today to talk to anybody so I’ll do that tomorrow. This looks like the perfect solution. Thanks.., I appreciate it!
No problem hope it works out for you.

I'm sure you've thought this out, but do you regularly drive the car in non-track situations? Just me personally, I'd rather have the bag available and put up with the problems of sliding in. But if its nearly track only, or you track all the damn time, which I can't, I completely understand.

He already has a full cage, race harness, and a hans device. So the air bag isn't really much of a help.
For us mortals I agree. 😀

I do occasionally drive it on the street for car related stuff or if I feel like rumbling around town. I have race seats (no airbags with those) and have full harness for both front seats. Those are used all the time. I did a lot of looking at all the hardware online last night and it says they do not offer a “hub adapter” for the Challenger. Every POS import ever made, but not American. I will call and talk to somebody about my options today.
