This pic has been floated before and i don't buy its the Z06/ZR1 body at all.

There was some solid rumors that the top C8 would be hyrbid and pushing 1000hp so there is nothing new here to me. Just filler to sell magazines.

Pretty sure this is the immediate future for Dodge too. FCA people were quoted as saying electrification is def on the horizon and so I fully expect something similar in the next gen Hellcat.

This is somewhat like “barking up the wrong tree”. Dodge is no longer interested in competing with this type of car! Otherwise, they would have kept the Viper in production and giving it 900 HP. The Hellcat/Demon/RE is not designed to be competitive or is it in the same class as the ZR1. The ZR1 was not developed to put Dodge down but more to keep up with exotics.

Over on the "other" forum, I believe, I mentioned that this path (hybrid electric / ICE) would probably be the easiest way for us to get an AWD version of the Hellcat or its successor. Interesting to see that Chevy also found the numbers seemed to make the most sense that way too.

Props to GM for creating this beast. There has never been a better time, in my lifetime at least, to buy American power. I hope Ford & Dodge accept the challenge to work towards something even better.

We are talking 5 years in the past. Concept cars of 5 years ago are mass produced last year. HP chasing HP and the vette is competing with the Europeans directly with a less of a price $$$ #. Interesting to see what FIAT, ouch, has in mind. Radical change in body style??? What they have out in the past 3 years has hooked us ole school guys and let us design build ourselves. GM is,, this is it. Radica but definitely in the market. Dodge,, time to step up, but on HP only is not going to work much longer.
