Can't decide; 275/40 or 285/35 up front?

Looks like I am going with a new set of wheels 20x10 front & 20x10.5 rear. Rears will be 305/35/20. Can't decide if I should stick with 275/40 up front (2018 Charger HC) or go to 285/35. I'm concerned with too much wheel go if I go 285/35. Car is not lowered & I have no plans to lower it.

I think Id go 295/35 vs 285. Closer to each other in size and wont drop the front as much

I would go with a 40 series tire all of the way around if possible otherwise it will look off. Below is my car not lowered on a 285/35R20 in the front/back. I know it is not a Charger but you get the idea. If you must stay in a 35 series tire I would go 295 up front, it will be a little over 1/8" taller than the 285/35.

305/35/20 20x10.5 rear and 285/35/20 20x9.5 front. It's an awesome combo. But I'd lower just a tad. I went with Eibach Pro's for just the right amount of gap removal. I feel it's the best look, and I have not had one issue. I drive the crap out of my Cat. It's far from a Garage place holder.

285 front, 305 rear for comparison.

With 10 inch wheels on the front, I would go with the 295/35, and that will get you closer to the original diameter of the stock 275/40s. The 285s /35s are a full inch shorter diameter and lead to a little fender gap.

275/40’s up front and 305/35’s in rear. Not much gap.. I’d like to lower with mopar springs but would probably end up scraping my driveway🙄

I went with 285/35 for the front. A little more wheel gap is what I'll deal with instead of having the 10" wheel lip sticking out too far past the tire. The rears will be 305/35.

My black OEM 5 spokes w/good tires are for sale FYI. Pick up only. I'm in PA

I would stick with factory front tires, it doesn't matter what you put out front the car is not going to handle. My only concern is rear tires, If I was worried about running the curves I would've bought a Corvette.

I have 285/35 Michelin ps4s front and 295/35 Michelin ps4s rear on 10.5 repos on my Charger all the way around. You don’t want any bigger than 285 up front if your talking about the charger non Widebody.. 285 already stick out a bit from the wheel fenders but not so much that it looks off.. 80B77EAF-5AC4-4084-BBD3-3CC34F3C2055.png 2AFDC05E-2301-4B04-96AB-5A04D0302C98.png

The car definitely has more front grip with this setup. I find 285 to be the magic front tire number.. roads around my neck of the woods the challenger with 305 tram lines a lot up front at slow speeds. The charger with 285 almost never trams. Another thing to think about

I run 295/35 all around. The Michelin’s as a brand are wide compared to others but don’t poke out sitting pretty inline to inside with the top of the wheel arch. This pic I have the dr’s on the back and the rear tyre off to the side . BAE23436-D7F9-4105-AB96-2A13E05740F6.png
