Have similar. Great gear. Had it shipped to hotel on trip, assembled in room, still going strong after many years. I recommend a HD luggage bag when using.

I'm glad to see it works for fellow users...but it seems like my car just sits too low for this model when loaded with all my drag gear.

I can bet I had 350lbs or so on it and with the combined play between receiver and folding mechanism it just wasn't gonna cut it on the road.

Probably great for lighter loads or other models with more ground clearance. Probably would've been fine if a solid shank with an anti-rattle flipped over.

Looking at trailers now.

I use mine only on my Expeditions. For a car, I think these may be too heavy, depending. My model also has a little goose neck section that raises it a little more.
