Got out to test the new fuel system and it's working like a champ. Fuel pressure is up and fuel pump duty cycle is down. I need to work the 60' a bit and let this thing rip.

Very consistent! Looks like it’s just a matter of honing down your reaction time.

I though the RTs were pretty good actually. -.001 was damn near perfect LOL

I've asked Mike@OSTDyno to take a look at my tune and a log from the track to see what he sees. I'm still a novice afterall.

Good ET's for that DA , I'm sure the elevation there doesn't help either ?

Beech Bend is +446 feet elevation. That's pretty good I think? The DA was good as well. I'm told every 1000 feet of DA is worth .1, so it'd be a high 9.7 at -1000 I guess, but I don't put a lot of thought in to that stuff honestly. If I'm sweating my butt off at the track I figure the car won't run as well LOL

Do you have to make any safety improvements to the car if you run in the 9’s?

Supposed to have a cage I think. Not putting one in mine.

Your track seems to be ok with your ETs/Traps....

If you really plan to race it, I think you could set it up as a 10.0 car without needing a cage. Maybe short shift it (shift through the first 2 or 3 gears at slightly lower rpms). It will still pull hard on the top end but I think it needs to be kept under 135 mph? You definitely have a fast one!

One big thing I learned is that it's better to take a degree of timing out and completely avoid any stkr than leave it and let the knock sensors intervene. That was the difference in mph.

It’s been my observation that modded Hellcats go over the 135 mph limit much easier than going under 10 seconds. You guys with sub ten second cars that are allowed to do it are lucky. Never happen where I am so spending the money to do that and getting banned at the track a waste. Other than not having a back seat, my cage with the door bars removed is not obstructive at all. The overhead bars are SFI padded and with the harness on are not a safety issue. Are far as damaging (hacking) the interior thats ballony. The plastic trim pieces that are cut for the front down bars are easily replaceable and if it were ever removed from the car you would never know it was there.

Some pics of the “objectionable” areas. I can honestly say that with the door bars out, you would get in and be seated before you even noticed that it has a cage in it. 2C5295E0-ABDC-4ADF-AFAC-977A88C104AE.jpeg ADDE737D-C2A7-4F52-AF47-65760E39003F.jpeg 5BF360C2-480F-46E2-81A2-F83FAA266983.jpeg A0807EFE-D22C-41AA-B827-91A8F9AD10E0.jpeg C9F1CB12-9FAA-4FB5-93C9-77471DDD13E4.jpeg

Just not for me in a street car. Yours looks good but I've never ridden in a street car with a cage I'd have been personally happy with.

I have seen some (most) that I would totally agree. My point is..... if you’ve built a car (those of who have done it know what it costs) and you can’t use it to its potential, then what have you got! You are fortunate that you can do what you’re doing and have at it. The tracks I use would pull your ticket and warn you. You come back and do it again and you will possibly be black listed and not be allowed to run again until show up with all the 8.5 cert boxes checked. Count your blessings.
