Never bad to have more tools but the stock ones are not that hard to get out. Aftermarket ones can be tougher and are not flat like the stock ones. You have to use the bolt holes to pry it out because the end is at an angle

I’ve been able to do it myself ever since getting the right board to pry against.

Careful the seals right there want to leak after just a little abuse. So pry or pull carefully.
