Discount tire offers a heat cycling service for $15 / tire . Not expensive but necessary? Seems to be mixed opinion on this.
Wondering if anyone has ran the same brand drag radials with one set being heat cycled and the other set not. Any performance / lifespan difference?

Drive them on the street a few times and they'll be heat cycled enough. Then do burnouts for even more heat!

Not apples to apples but I started with Nitto 555R on 305/45/18 and had them heat cycled. Still have them over 4 years and better than 60 runs on the track with my 08 SRT and the HC. I also drove to the track and probably have 4000 miles on them....they are drivable, with a couple 32’s left. I roasted through the 555R 305/35/20’s in 2500 miles. I am interested in other people’s experience too.

I am trying the 555G2 in 305/35/35.....not impressed...does give passengers a thrill.
