Help with strap found hanging under Durango

2003 Dodge Durango R/T 4WD/AWD. Was taking off towing brackets off front and noticed something hanging. This strap, one end hang off from the frame.



Was around this metal frame right by passenger door.

View laying under passenger door...didn't take picture when it was hanging. Just to the right is the oil pan.



What could it have been holding or did I pick it up driving/towing it? It was wrapped around the frame...very strange.

Im guessing you picked it up along the way while driving. If it was holding something together, that something in theory would now be loose and pretty easy to find.

Does not look like any sort of OE part, weird how it could get wrapped on the frame tho !

Recently had your brakes done at a shop? Maybe it's from hanging the caliper.

Once had a tuning shop leave a dyno strap on one of my old cars
