Hit a bird and chipped up my lower grille..

Hit a poor unlucky Robin off the on Ramp trying to play chicken with the cat. Short story Short... no time to react just drilled it at A high rate of speed. Scooped the poor things carcass out but got this going away present.. fortunely the lower splitter only took damage on the far right side just the little slice mark where it’s beak hit you can see i rubbed it but it’s under the PPF no biggie there.. Guys that have replaced or installed the lower grille part.. can you let me know what the Part Number is?? I’ll have to order this.. Also wondering the steps to take to replace this? Info needed all advice appreciated.. may end up taking the car to the dealer depending on your responses. Thanks in advance

Id need your last 8 of the vin to get you the correct part number.

Yeah the plastic took most of the impact I scrapped the little bit of Bird remains off the radiator

That’s actually the second one. I hit a little finch type bird the other year it just flew right into my car that was at a slower speed though. I really whacked this little guy

It was only 113, I mean 65 sorry for that typo. I looked down I was even surprised. I wasn’t even looking at speed until right before impact was like uhh yup your Fkd bird. Took that bird away like I was the soul snatcher

It really shouldn't take long to do but dealers use book time just like we do with our estimating systems in the auto body industry. It's probably cheaper to let a auto body shop do it since their rates are a lot less.

It really shouldn't take long to do but dealers use book time just like we do with our estimating systems in the auto body industry. It's probably cheaper to let a auto body shop do it since their rates are a lot less.

Dealers hate to be rushed on stuff like this, and in my case they would only take my front bumper off(to replace scraped splitter guard) if they could use(and bill me for) new push pins or fasteners or whatever they hell they are called to pop the bumper back on. I think they charged me for like 3 hours labor? I know they are reusable in almost all cases it if's taken apart correctly, but I guess they didn't want to deal with the chance of breaking one or the bumper not going back on perfect. Anyway, just a heads up...

Know a friend who could do this for you for a case of beer or a joint? I've seen so many people pop the front bumpers off and back on these cars with no problems reusing the existing parts...
