Hoping these work a bit better than the 305/45-17 ET Street R

28x10.5-17 Hoosier DBR

Next to try will be either the 28x10 bias ply slick, or the 315/50 ET Street R

All I want is a successful 1st gear launch haha

I'm not having any problems with 305/45r-18 Street Rs. I have found that a scuff is all that's needed on a prepped track.

It really depends on your power level, track prep and car setup. And a couple PSI can make a huge difference. I just ran my Friends car at a GOOD track, but I had to use my backup gauge because I forgot my normal one. According to the TPMS I was running a higher pressure. And guess what. I was struggling. On my last pass, when the track was at it's worst, I finally got the pressure where it should be and dead hooked.
The Pressures I quote are from MY gauge. Yours may be different. But, a couple PSI can make a huge difference. Did I just say that????

I honestly think its a power level thing. I've struggled with wheel hop ever since going to e85. I was always able to make it work before that

What if your tuner pulled out a little timing or boost just at the hit?

I tried pulling some timing off the line and got horrible wheelspin, Unfortunately there was an event at the track, and I ran out of test and tune time to keep playing with the tune
