Well if we are comparing a 2019 Redeye challenger to a 2019 charger hellcat.. for starters the charger suspension is a lot more forgiving. I like riding with the windows down in the challenger more because it’s more comfortable putting your arm out the window.. in the charger putting your arm out the window gets uncomfortable. The challenger overall feels more fun to drive.

The Redeye challenger hood flexes a lot at higher speeds.. the charger hellcat hood doesn’t flex at all.. I like the fact the charger has heat extractors. The challenger Redeye whine is louder and exhaust is also louder. The charger is a much better ride on the highway with .262 gears.. with .309 gears over 70 mph your making a lot of exhaust drone in the challenger.

The charger is lower to the ground and tends to scrape low driveways unless you take it at an angle going in and out. The challenger has much more clearance in the front and never have to angle many driveways unless really steep.

4 door cars......ample interior room to put the pizza for the drive home after you pick it up

I am naturally a 4 door guy, I know, don’t give me shit. I’ve had 4 bmw’s 2 infinity’s and 1 Mercedes all four door. I decided I was tired of imports because I learned the luxury is not all that, they are really not fast at all unless your ready to spend mega bucks and their maintenance is expensive and frequent once they start collecting miles. So I liked the look of the charger (the 2015s European look) and my wife was liking the Durango. We said f it and got one of each, an Rt charger and a durango limited. Little did we know they were both basically gateway drugs to what we have today. It did not take long at all and we were craving more. Although I loved the look of a challenger I never considered one because of the kids. Well I caved and traded the charger for a hc challenger at the first great opportunity, and the wife just traded her limited for a DSRT. I think we have the best of both worlds, the room and amenities of the DSRT and also the raw power of the hc.
