Great progress since I saw it last week Marc. I know you are chomping at the bit to get back on the track. Good weather will be here soon.

Really nice @Marc0779
You may have posted this already but what will you have your cage certified for?

Linda :)

I wrestled with going to a 25.5 but the fabricater said it would go to far with a demon the whole floor would need to be removed and bars added i thought this would bring the value of the car down and the cage i did is for 8.50. i think it will add value to the car the tracks i go to let us slide i only did it for when i travel so i dont waste a trip getting kicked out i plan on getting into the lower 8"s but when i travel i will tone it down.

Safety is really important!

When John and I went for our Super Comp license it was a huge thing to run anything 8.xx in a Modern Hemi.
Tim Barth held a record with his LOCO Challenger back then. 1st modern Hemi into the 8s .He was the Tuner and Builder of my "Pink Car" race built SRT8!
John always thought safety was important and everything was bought for our safety and everything was being built for safety and strength too.
I'm sure you know what it takes and are concerned to he safe at the track!
How is your wife doing. I bet she loves date night @ the track!

I know. Lol. Been there. I need to see if I can improvise something for mine. When the passenger seat is in it’s not a problem but on the floor is wtf!

Looks like some nice work on the cage , I like how they tucked it close to the top of the windshield & A pillars.
When is the plan to have it at the track next ? …..GL.

I've seen the work personally and I'm impressed with the time and effort to tuck it in tight. It's done very nicely.

Yes , obviously that took some time to do , it's nice to see people who care about their work quality.

@Marc0779, at least in road race cages I'm used to seeing a diagonal bar that typically goes from the passenger floor side up towards the driver's side roll hoop and that intersects the crossbar. Is that not done in drag race cages?

Thanks for the tip. I found exactly what I need for this job at Jegs. Also in case you might be interested..... They tend to get scratched (like the door bars) and start looking ratty. They are real CF and come in 5ft lengths from A.R.T. (Applied Racing Technology). Keeps things looking new.
