Politicians can't even keep promises while in office let alone 15 years from now. 15 years will become 20, then 30, ...

Quebec has vast amounts of Hydro power to tap into but still, unless they can get charging down to 5 minutes or less, not everyone can plug in at home (or have 2+ cars to charge) or want to deal with charging lineups on longer trips.

Plus the cost of the car, even here there is plenty of cheap entry-level gas cars new in the 20K CAD range, double that for an entry-level EV. You can do all the math you want to show the long run costs catch up (at current electricity rates, which aren't guaranteed to stay cheap) , but most people will spring for the cheapest monthly payment they can get.

I’ll believe it when I see it. 🧐 sounds good in theory but just think about the infrastructure needed to support an all EV society plus trying to charge these at home. Most houses will need to run the wiring to support the charging in a garage and some will need to upgrade the entire box. What about people without garages? Freezing rain/snow? Just ask Texas about that. I’m sure with the government involved it has to be jacked up.

They have a battery bank for almost a year now that can be fully charged in 3 minutes flat but they are still working on getting it to be cost effective first as it is too costly to produce it at this time.

"The 2035 plan is part of Canada’s goal to be emission-free by 2050."
I guess they plan to exterminate every living creature?

Shit nothing pollutes like a train, they better shut all of them down to...oh and ships.
Anything that farts, farms, all mining, all smelting, manufacturing, trucking, central heating, and more.
