Napa vs laguna leather?

Thinking of ordering a redeye
Built one online. Easy to do except the seat options are confusing.
I want alcantara, they show Napa leather and also laguna leather with it. What's the difference?

The Napa/Alcantera combo is the same option that's been around since '15. Alcantera on the whole face of the seat (red in the pic below), with just a little leather trim around the edges.

The Laguna/Alcantera was a new option for '19. It has more (and supposedly nicer) leather, and alcantera only in the very center of the seat (see below). It also includes an alcantera wrapped steering wheel.

The red seats in the top pic are what i have now, and like them very much.

Now the wife wants tan colored seat with gomango paint. Lol

That was my concern as well.

My alcantara still looks new after 2 years.

I have the sepia (tan) leather seats in my Plum Crazy Redeye. After a year, they still look great. From what I've read over the past few years, you do have to take a little extra care in cleaning the seats. But I think it's worth the effort for the great look. Post a picture when you get your new car. NOTE: If you are ordering something, do it very very soon. I've heard some dealers aren't able to place anymore 2019 orders. Don't know if it's dealer BS or Dodge fact.

I have the full Laguna. It still looks good but small hairline cracking is visible.

According to this it's already too late to order a '19, but '20s should open soon. I wouldn't expect to see a '20 delivered until after the New Year though based on the late start. Plenty of '19s still on dealer lots though.

I like the Alcantara look and steering wheel, my concern, dirty hands from food, oils, lotion, outside weather, etc., on the steering wheel and keeping it clean/cleaning it off

I actually prefer the full laguna look, but I am concerned with cracking. Seems like the Alcantara may actually hold up better. Looks like "Driving gloves"

One option might be to negotiate terms whereby the dealer orders Katzkin leather and installs it upon delivery of the vehicle; that way, if you want any type of logo added, you can get it (Katzkin no longer produces Mopar licensed logos except through dealers). This way, you can get a better quality leather for around the same price.

Good idea. But I might be keeping the kitty.
Dealer says my asking price of 52,000 is too high. He said retail is $ 53,000. They will only offer me $45,000 for my trade.

That's not going to happen. My car had a msrp $74,650. This is a toy for me not a necessity, so I'm not going to throw that kind of money away.

Looks like it's time for a 2.85 pulley and demon injectors.

I dont think you can go wrong with the alcantera seats. 30k on my HC and now 43k on my 392 T/A and they dont look like they have any wear. Id only get laguna if I was getting demonic red seats

This is good to hear about the rich Alcantra leather.
I was a skeptic when I first got it but I am warming up to it.
Now about the HK sound system...

Looks like every dealer has different ordering guidelines. Or maybe it's a regional thing. Whatever the case, let us know what you order. Sounds like you're going to have a great car.

I kinda prefer the Alcantera but went with the demonic interior cause the red it’s a nice touch with the white exterior

I was a skeptic when I first got it but I am warming up to it.
Now about the HK sound system...

Get it if you listen to music at any elevated level. It’s not the absolute best but the stock sound system is trash.

I have discovered that if I use the Apple car play the Pandora music kicks ass with the HK system.
But when I listen to older stuff like Bob Wills that was probably not a quality recording then it is not at it's best
