The 25.5 cert cage (7.50 seconds) has a max weight limit of 3600 lbs. That applies to the FSS class. I believe the allowed weight of the class is at around 3550. I know there is commonly a lot of stuff done with those cars to make them competitive. A lot of reinforcement having to do with the rear end and some lightning in other areas to make up for it. Stuff like Optic Armor windows and titanium bits. If this new one is 100 lbs lighter from the start, then that will allow ballast to be placed where it will benefit. These things have to work with that small tire and weight placement will help. The rear end in this thing is nothing like the old deal. Plus I’ll bet the aero is better. This class can’t run faster than 7.50’s due the cage cert limits. The fast guys are in the 7.70’s now so I’m betting this one will take a tenth or two off that.
