Just watched a video on YouTube where the new mustang gt 500 makes 705 rwhp. Good thing I'm doing a 2.85 pulley this spring

Thats nuts. And 4200lbs is the advertised weight. Not sure if he pulled anything or how much he weighs
Either way, this thing is faster than Ford is letting on.

That said...I can live with the small back seat and half trunk if this car turns out half as badass as the initial buzz seems to be.

You should watch the "kid" run his first 1/4 mile pass. He needed someone to ride with him to show him how to do it.
He left at 3200 rpms on his last pass. Sounds like the stang has a 2 step launch control. If we left at 3200 we'd be up in smoke. He ran a 10.66
I hate to admit it but I think ford has bested dodge.

I don't get the hype. Congrats, I guess.. runs a whole .2 quicker than a 2015 model hellcat. The GT500 will not pick up much on a tire either considering it appeared to be dead hooking at it's highest launch setting on street tires. A dog down low by the looks of it. It does pick up stream though so will be stout from a roll.

I would ALWAYS give credit where it is due. But it’s been five years in the making to try to trump the Cat. If these numbers are correct it’s about time already. Still doesn’t have enough venom to kill a Demon. Not to mention dodge took the original 2008 platform and in complete utter silence created the beast and then raised the bar in two more variants on the already aging platform of 7 years at the time. Again dodge didn’t beat their chest bragging loudly. Complete covert silence then “wam” right between the eyes. Auburn Hills may not have loud Dyno sounds emanating from within, that’s only because they do things Quietly, shielded and with utmost couth. Can’t wait for these God Damn crickets to stop. One thing for sure is we all win if the company’s go to horse power wars.
