Sub $70K Super Sports and Redeyes / Sub $40k Widebody 392's built in 6-8 weeks would have been pretty enticing if the stars were aligned.

Clearly the Fiat & Alpha brands are no bueno in the USA - they have tried to hawk them here at various times over the last 4 decades and met with utter failure (and complete withdrawal from the market) every single time. Now they think ppl will flock to the brand if they slap a Dodge label on them ?

Dodge sales could have been much better if they hadn't gamed the jail break thing & killed all the options on the 'regular' cars. The Durango's were f'ed up as well. I would have bought a new SRT Durango & Redeye Hellcat if they hadn't been woke, greedy shits about the options & ordering.

History does seem to repeat. Feels like 1972 with all the smog regulations that killed the performance cars. Manufacturers are getting screws over with the supply chain parts shortages and rising fuel prices. IMHO it’s all to push manufacturers to create EV vehicles or be crushed.

I don't think manufacturers have to be pushed very hard. I'm betting they get pretty large government subsidy checks for EV vehicles from the current administration with a penalty for not meeting increased CAFE standards at the same time. I also bet most of these politicians have heavy investments in EV technology companies as well. All a big sham.

It's not the governments job to push us in any direction, just protect our borders, sovereignty, lower taxes to create jobs, don't pay ppl. to stay home & not work, get the F out of the way & the economy will thrive on its own. But that won't make the crocked bastards rich or be in power, so they don't want that.
