After all this demon filter talk I figured I would do something with my spare time. I purchased a 6" coupler from cxracing and a race day cone filter from airaid. I had to put the coupler into a vise and match the oval of the stock redeye filter inlet. I used some scrap 2x4's to protect the coupler from damage. The race day filter doesn't have any gauze filtering just 2 layers of mesh. The track day series has a layer of filtering gauze so it works for the street. It was a tight fit but it all went together nicely. The Airaid 700-469RD Race Day Air Filter would be just a race filter but the 700-469TD would be the highest flowing street filter. The race day filter is definitely louder then the demon filter obviously. I personally haven't tired the track day filter yet. Good idea , but in most cases - air filter or no filter , it doesn't make much difference.
Doesn't hurt to find out for yourself , keep us posted when you can test it.
