I’ve seen people do this, especially at the track to change the rear tires. Anybody here jack their car from the diff?

Yeah, I do, but use a 2 x 4 x 5" board to protect the diff.

I use 2 jacks or do one side depending on what I'm doing. Never used the rear to lift it

I've done it on other cars in the past...never on the cats

I'll do tires or brakes one side at a time...but if I need the entire rear (or whole car in the air) it goes by the diff...

...or used to. My quickjack is finally here.

You can do it with a board in between but it's sketchy. The fins can break easily on the diff.

I’ve done it on my cars. Use a piece of wood. No metal against metal on the fins. Make sure it is nice and centered on the jack and jack slowly

I wouldn't do it and I've never had or let anyone do it.

Linda :)

Had mine up on the diff yesterday replacing trailing arms. I did use floor jacks on both rear jacking pads for safety reasons.

That’s definitely one way to avoid the risk of breaking a fin or two...
Exactly and B4 the P4brace I broke enough diffs racing! I'm not going to cause any weakening to the weak link ;)

I used the diff when installing my brace last week... heart was pounding a little on the way up and way down off the stands. not sure I'll be doing it again. Fins look way to fragile.

AAD? Went to the track Friday and Saturday after adding mine and car hooked every pass. It has on occasion had a slight hop if it didn't hook that I think it will not do again getting rid of the stock rubber bushings

Yes, AAD on the Redeye. I might change the Hellcat as well.
