One of the first mods I did to my car was replace the stock shifter handle. The stock one isn't bad but it certainly isn't a pistol grip. I purchased a Mr. Norms shifter and immediately went to work re-working the brand new unit. If I simply removed it from the box and installed it, I wouldn't have been happy. It would have leaned too far forward. It wouldn't look or feel right. So...... I cut the bottom portion off and ground down the metal to create an angle. I welded the pieces back together and installed it. I feel that the angle mimics the same angle in the 70 -74 Challengers. It looks correct and more importantly, it feels comfortable. I think it sets off the interior perfectly. Mike
