I hate working on exhaust. Nothing wants to fit right and fighting exhaust leaks and it always takes longer the it should. Did I say I hate working on exhaust?
So I have the stainless works cat-deletes that I had used on my Daytona. I'm also using vibrant 02 spacers which take the after cat 02 sensor and move it out of the stream so you don't get a CEL. Worked fine on the Daytona but I have heard some Hellcats have throw the CEL even using a spacer. The reducers I had to cut to get them back off when I removed the stock exhaust and installed the 3" Hooker Blackheart system on the Daytona. I needed to use the reducers (3"- 2 3/4") to put this back on using the stock exhaust. I had cut a slit into them to remove them (the reducers were stuck on the cat deletes) so I just shorted the reducers after where I had cut them so I could reuse them. The reducers are about 5" long. Maybe I should have shortened the end that went into the stock exhaust because it didn't want to go in very far. I even smeared anti seize all over them. After getting ever thing bolted up they were leaking at the exhaust manifold. Not real bad but you could part your hand near it and feel it. I got the driver side pretty good but fought the passenger side. I have some high temp silicone but decided not to use it. It was start the car crawl under find leak crawl back out shut the car off. This happened too many times. Funny thing is I did not have this issue with the Daytona.

My Daytona started off with cat-deletes then I added the Hooker cat back then I installed long tube headers. Car sounded the best with just the cat-deletes. They added some power and made it a little louder. If I put the Hooker cat back on this car I will get some exhaust valves installed since it did not come with them

I put the same set on my car . I actually did them in a parking lot ! They are not bad to install . Just keep checking the manifold stud nut . I keep developing a bit exhaust leak right where the pipes mate to the manifolds and I have to retorque them every now and then .

I had to jack the rear up to get the cross brace off so I could try to knock the exhaust in better using the metal bar that holds the exhaust apart. I could get back to it I jacked it up for a little more room. The front was up pretty high. The jack stands are under engine cradle

I'm planning on running Friday and Saturday. As of now Friday mid 60's and Saturday mid 70's. Based on the DA I should be able to compare the times from the last few weekends and see if there is any hp gain

I wonder if this could explain some odd noise or fuel trim behavior I have noticed from time to time.

I will recheck the torque. It's been a year and about 11k miles.

Also...the Afe appear to fit nice. Those are what I had installed. They neck down to 2 3/4 for the factory exhaust.

I will say it was a PITAAAAA to get it apart again the first time.

Now...its WD/PB and a stern wiggle from the tip end. No hammer. Slides right off and with a pipe expander and impact...slides right back on and seals up good.

I like having the reducers if you decide to put a 3" exhaust on later

I have driven the car about 4 times now and now a CEL:
P0430 is a diagnostic trouble code for “Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2).” It warns about a problem with the catalytic converter mounted near engine bank 2 (the side of the engine opposite the number one cylinder
I know some Hellcats have throw the code. My Daytona didn't in the 2 weeks I ran it the same way before the tune. I cleared it and will see if it comes back. I do remember I don't like the smell with the deletes. It isn't bad when it is hot out but in cooler temps you notice it

That's the reason I liked the SW cat delete pipes is so I could remove there reducer adaptor and put on a full 3 inch exhaust.

Like I said I had no issues with my Daytona. This is all a test anyway. I think it will pick up hp like my Daytona did but if it doesn't they are coming off.

Don't understand the exhaust smell people are getting with catless pipes. I'm considering doing it on my HC but not if I'm going to get exhaust smell. My older musclecars (70 440 Superbee and 69 383 Roadrunner) never smell.
Can someone please explain?

Thanks,
Varooom

That is a good question. My '13 Mustang had a full after market exhaust with no cats and didn't smell like the Dodges
