Got a rock chip on the windshield, should I go with OEM or save money with aftermarket?

OEM , especially if you want to retain the car doing a burnout graphics only oem ones have. If it’s only a small chip and not a crack you may want hold off as I’ve read cracking the seal on the original replacements are not as structurally rigid as original is.

Thanks, I guess I'll just wait since its a small chip.

Get the chip fixed by safelite, they inject epoxy and it is almost invisible. Do not drive it until repaired if possible

They tried that with my Traackhawk windshield.... Did not work... Just turned into a big star with lots of cracks thru the whole windshield....

The pressure of injecting the crack may break the window more....

Insurance is only covering equivalent which is the aftermarket windshield.

Cost of the glass peanuts compared to the headaches a inferior replacement and installer could bring. DONT cheap out on a windshield ever!!

LonestarHellcat, I have always replaced my Kitty’s windshield with OEM. I know in AZ insurance coverage is different (windshield is covered) no deductible. You just need to be firm with the insurance company and not take NO for an answer. You can always use the bad faith claim “line” ...... A first-party insurance bad faith claim is when an insurance company unreasonably refuses to pay a claim. I work in the Insurance industry. Hope this helps.

For my Trackhawk it was a little over $600 installed for OEM.. the first time Safelite brought out a new windshield it was aftermarket.. like $300 installed... I told them NO!

Come back with the one that says Mopar.

They did 4 days later.

I don't see any reference to this being a Demon. Did the non-Demon Hellcat Challengers come with the burnout image in the windshield? I don't know that I ever noticed, but I certainly noticed on the Demon.
