That car would normally be assigned to a Captain or the Chief. Too much heat from the public these days on that, so drug enforcement is the best, but if used local to where it was confiscated, all the bad guys will know who is really driving it.
I don't think that car would last a month in Patrol or Traffic Enforcement. When they're trying to catch up to somebody to pull them over, they tend to focus in on the car and start to forget obstacles around them. When they're in pursuit, the situation gets even worse. It use to take me 6 months from start (council approval) to finish (factory ordered; professionally upfitted; decals, etc, etc) to put a new car into service and assigned to 2 officers. Well son of a B, I had cars I put out for the first time on a Friday night. One was wrecked that evening (perp rammed it while trying to evade) and a couple others that were TOTALLED by Monday morning. Those are 5.7 Hemi cars. Can you imagine 707 hp ? I can, and it doesn't look pretty.
