Anyone interested in getting in on a group buy for Mark Williams 2 piece drive shafts for M6 Challengers? Could possibly get the price down to 2500 or less each depending on quantity we can generate and purchase. Let me know snd I’ll see what I can haggle out of them.

I didn't know that Mark Williams made a 2 piece for the M6 cars . That is exactly what you guys need . Too bad they are so damn pricy !

What would these normally go for?

Is this a new offering?

So say sometime in the future I need a new drive shaft I could order one and you could mozy on over and pick it up for me? Then on a road trip stop in and grab it ( or install it)?

I'll even "proof" test it for you prior to installation.

I spoke to Wiles about a month ago and he said he was close 2 wrapping up his 2 piece design. He said his price point would be around the $2K mark. I just picked up a CCI one piece and going to see if I can get it to operate without issue.

Good to know, let us know how your CCI works out for you. Auto or manual? Most don’t realize the auto aftermarket shafts have a better chance of less NVH as they turn much slower then a manuals DS turns at the same speed. An auto’s DS seldom exceeds engine RPM, in a manual in 4th a 1:1 gear the DS is turning the same rpm as the engine, in 5th its 20-30% faster then engine rpm depending on 5th ratio in the trans. That’s the one main reason manuals have more issue with NVH then the automatics do. I’d be interested in a Wiles 2 piece unit. Since I’ve made this thread on this forum and the other I have heard from a few guys with not good things to say about the MW unit, things that in looking into deeper are ringing true. Like their bonding process doesn’t like long tube headers and aftermarket exhausts and has failed on cars with anything but stock exhaust systems, another is that they don’t stand behind failures, it’s always the customers fault, another is they have a 1000 HP limit, that’s not going to work for me. Add to that all MW is not being to willing on negotiating a group buy price either. I’m about ready to tell the guy he can put them where the sun doesn’t shine. I’m thinking Maybe it’s time to talk with Ralph again about his 2 piece unit.

When I spoke with Ralph back in November when I ordered the 1 piece for my M6 I specifically asked him about the 2 piece d/s he was working on. He said he wasn't thrilled with the carrier bearing he had developed, and was going to rework it. Perhaps he's made some progress? I would check with him before going big money for a MW.
Btw- My Wiles 1 piece has served me well so far in my Barton shifted tranny, with minimal modification (helped by 16GoManGoHC2). Thanks again! Have not made it over triple digits though, my season here in NY is just starting...

I have a manual, and indeed the options are few and far between! I did all sorts of research and the thought of a MW’s 2 piece crossed my mind, but I couldn’t bring myself to drop that kind of coin for a driveshaft. I called CCI and the said they stopped making manual driveshafts which prompted me to call Wiles. Was going to order a Wiles then a new CCI unit popped up at an awesome price and I figured I would grab it. I understand I’ll have to remove some material off of the Barton and shim the trans.....keeping my fingers crossed.

@greasy I didn’t have to shim the tranny at all, just remove some material from the bottom of the shifter. Test fit the ds a few times before LocTite and final torque, which was unattainable due to clearance issues. I just snugged it up nice and tight. You will see after the first install and a few spins where the welds on the ds are striking the Barton. Just work it from there. Shifter only, I did not remove any material from the ds. Pls feel free to reach out with any issues. Pretty straight forward. though.

Awesome, that is good to know. I purchased a 10mm universal socket and 10mm torque adapter from Matco to help with getting the bolts torqued to spec. I appreciate the info and I will reach out if I run into any issues!

Does anybody know the weight difference between this and the OEM Driveshaft?
