WTG! Congrats on getting to the Track and into the 9s. That's awesome!
It is a lot to think about moving through the burnout and into staging for launching.
Your 60 ft will become better once you have more seat time. I don't think it's terrible.
The track prep is only part of the problem.
What was your tire PSI? That can make a big difference, especially if you have too much? oops I just read 22 PSI, well that's the problem.


I have 18 inch wheels and start with 17 psi to 17 1/2. A good place to start with PSI is your wheel size. Then you can go up or down 1 psi at a time.

I spoke to unholy a little in a pm. You have to remember he is still geared for the stick car. That is a violent launch. He needs to try a second gear launch which could turn violent for the trans or swap gears.

I know Z broke a transmission with a third gear launch. I'd like to 3rd gear launch for no prep but dont really want to replace a trans when Z already tested it

I was kinda kidding but that is good to know.
I didn't realize Z had done that.
I tried 2nd once but screwed up when I moved the shifter it went into third and was lazy. Oddly the Demon didn't want to run me again afterwards.🤣

I didn't know his Hellcat was geared for a stick car. He may be better off with Slicks for the track.
All of the manual vehicles we owned, John always had me start off in second gear. I'm not sure what that would really mean for today's gears, but I now understand why he is having the trouble when launching.

For me it is cheaper to run e85 all the time. I figured if it were about $1 cheaper then 93 it is a break even with the lower gas mileage. Right now it is $2 cheaper

I do run e85 all the time but wanted to make sure I had tested pump e85 in there and not whatever has been sitting in my tank for the last few months lol

Those are good runs and line up with what I've seen at that same MPH. I do think you can do way better if you change the rear gear to a 2.62 or 3.09. Track prep has to be just right for me to cut low 1.4x 60 foots. Normally mine were 1.5x just like you're seeing. I'm curious to see if the new setup gives me a better 60'.
