Picked up my new Redeye Friday. I hear a ticking sound when I'm inside in park idling, in gear or out. Can't hear it when it take off because of the loud exhaust. Sounds like passenger side rear. Anyone else?[/

Okay, we are NOT talking about the Hemi tick some hear from the engine. Matter of fact, my Redeye has no Hemi tick. I have owned a '06 6.4L with loud Hemi tick, my '15 was negligible on tick, several of our eight Jeep's including my current 5.7L has Hemi tick, the Redeye has none. I posted a quick video in my channel a few months ago, because this one don't tick.
The OP clearly describes what we are talking about. MINE DONT GO AWAY AFTER ITS WARM. I listened last night after a pleasing drive with the car. It is probably as benign as a Hemi tick, but it is a noise that seems like it comes from the right side exhaust under the passenger seat maybe just behind it. It is not possible to hear it except at idle. But OP, mine is identical to your description.
Exactly, I'm not talking about the engine tick!!!! Also I had 2 hemis, 14 ram 5.7 and 16 hellcat, neither one of them never had the engine tick.

I did better Hick. Felt her entire right exhaust front to back top to bottom. I'll save the scope for a more cute one. Seriously it sounds like it is simply blasting the exhaust valve which thinks it needs to be closed on idle. I bet if someone wacks those valves open it won't make the noise.

Noticed a distinct "Singular Repetitive Ticking" that increases/decreases with RPM. It is not "Hemi Tick" heard in 5.7L, 6.1L & 6.4L as "multiple Ticks". I am not familiar with the 6.2L. Only have 110 miles on Redeye.

Mine ticks from the rear passenger side almost likes it’s the exhaust. It also blew white smoke on start today.
Mine has had this same sound from day one. Three other Redeye's on the lot did the same thing. The tech it’s the fuel line in plastic separator tapping the bottom of the car. It’s making me nuts.

What do you think it is P?
Did you get your driveability issue taken care of?

I'm wondering if it's not some relay under the passenger side trunk panel? Wanted to take a stethoscope in the trunk and listen along the side panels.

My ram 5.7 has a tick till it gets warmed up. HC no tick, Durango no tick, and my charger rt no tick. Now my Mercedes c300 and my dads e350 both had bad ticks. I’ve been told it’s normal for Mercedes?

I know what you are talking about it drives me crazy. My demon Does it, My Redeye did it but ironically enough my 2016 Hellcat did not and neither does my 2019 Hellcat. One of my clients has 2 demons and they both do it. I suspect it is in the evap system located in the passenger side rear fender well. Ill keep you posted when I find it!
Thanks
AJ

Yeah... my 15 HC Charger has it.

Can only hear it, inside the cabin, at lower RPM... but it speeds up & slows down, with RPM.

...and yes, sounds like it's coming from the passenger side, near the firewall.

@DodgeCares ever hear of this?

Its a hidden Easter egg 🥚 noise located next to a hidden switch that unlocks the powertrain control module, that you can turn on and off at will and locks the computer
leaving no P1400 code 😂 to restore for factory warranty 👌

My 19 Hellcat had that noise and really loud at first start up. The 19 Redeye does not have the noise at all.The Hellcat would quiet down after driving but was still there if you listened for it. It did almost sound like loose exhaust but traded it for the Redeye and will let the next guy figure it out.Glad the Redeye is quiet.

I really thought the exhaust pulses were nailing the flapper, but it is only on the right side my ear says. You blew that little theory away. When I read @Hemituner is also stumped, I am good with it! I say it is some sort of a "normal" idle exhaust characteristic, since some many have it it both the RE and Demon.

I am really please with how my Redeye sounds, I think it idles fairly smooth and quiet for what it is. Nothing at all close to what I would consider a ticking sound from the motor.

It does kind of knock or click sometimes when I'm driving around, especially when I come to a stop. Think it may be a seat belt tensioner coming from the left rear, some people say that's the noise from the 2-piece rotors? Any thoughts? Don't want to waste time at the dealer with it, but want it resolved or at least to know what it is.

You don't hear this little tick at what seems like just under/behind the passenger seat, just at idle for me? Otherwise mine is perfect, I am not so sure we are even describing a problem. So many describe it, it seems normal to me now. I heard it the first time I sat in it because it was a different sound than my '15.

Listen to your sound and see if it is coming off the front disks at slow speeds' Eric. Normal.
