The United Auto Workers (UAW) union, representing more than 46,000 members across the country, has extended its strike to a General Motors (GM) truck plant in Arlington, Texas. This comes after GM reported a robust third-quarter profit of $3.1 billion, sparking union claims that the company's strong profits should equate to a fair share for the workers. The strike at the Arlington plant, a critical GM facility that produces highly profitable large SUVs, punctuates nearly six weeks of strikes at other GM facilities.

IMHO, there's been too big of a gap between workers and C-Suite leadership across the board for some time now. I'm not for Unions myself but don't work that type of job so haven't walked in those shoes either. Pick an industry and company within. Lookup what a CEO or CFO makes there. I don't think anyone is worth $X or $XX millions per year plus bonus, plus xyz, etc. Not realistic IMHO for those to be making that much more than the actual workers in the company. It's nothing that occurred overnight and I'm sure won't be fixed overnight. TBH, it's all out of wack and hopefully will get addressed. Our US dollar is already weak, economy wrecked, and having every job/skill type just automatically just get paid higher isn't going to get things to the right place either. But I do think that starting with pay cuts at the highest paid positions is a place to start.

• The Spring Hill facility employs around 4K workers.

I'm in the same position...I get a new ram pickup (DD ) every 3 yrs...I'm currently on my 9th...a 2021 ram limited...it's up in April...guess I better start my search now...
