Did you end up going with the PowerStop rotors and brakes?
You may want to consider why they use Brembos in the first place. I'll tell you, it is because if a fast car has difficulty stopping, it will lead to HUGE law suits. I keep the OEM's on the RE because I do some racing. I keep them on the M6, just because, why not.

As long as you get the oil up to operating temperature before putting the car away, nothing bad will happen to the oil sitting in the pan. Frequent short trips cause condensation and can shorten oil life.
It's funny that it's called "shortened OIL life" and not called "shortened ENGINE life"! :ROFLMAO:

Short oil change intervals or an occasional 30 minute drive can compensate for short trip condensation. I think oiled cotton gauze air filters that most of us run do more to shorten engine life. Then again, most Hellcat owners aren’t looking to get 100,000+ miles out of their motors.

Warranty? Okay, I didn't void it by doing the first change at about 500 miles, but after that...

Normally I do the change in the late fall, then it's ready to go in the spring. Except for the year I forgot and both ended up with exactly two years on the oil. Sent samples to a good lab, then had a very knowledgeable person analyze the results.

Both cars had about 500 miles on them in those two years, and the PUP passed with flying colors. Good for at least another 3,000 miles I was told.

But, they're never short tripped or, gulp, cold started to impress people. Instead they're generally driven at least 150 miles once started. That does make a difference.

Blackstone says run oil to at least 5,500 miles even if it takes over a year. Not sure I can do more than a year without the urge to change.

I hear tell they also advocate wearing the same underwear 5 days in a row before changing...

Did you notice that I wrote "...sent samples to a good lab..."?

Didn't want to bring it up, but especially those who short trip their cars probably shouldn't use Blackstone. Instead, use one that actually tests for fuel dilution.

Although, now that you live in Texas the oil probably never cools off, which could help.

Yes, know the fuel dilution issues with them. Good thing is...Taxi doesn't see much short tripping 😂

Guess I should point out that you can get them to test for it...for an extra fee.

But why, when other labs do it as a normal part of the process for the same cost.

Once a year. Went to that on the 4Runner almost 20 years ago and it's still going strong. I forgot once, and it saw 2 years and the world didn't end :)

I did 1 year on the Hellcat, and 1 year on Mrs. Speedy's Q60 as well.

Once the 170 is out of warranty it'll also go to 1 year.

The Z06 manual says to change it when the car says to, or 1 year whichever is first.

I used to obsess over these things when I was younger, wish I could go back and tell myself to chill out lol. I gradually got to a one year interval by going longer and longer and sending in samples for analysis. I still have all those samples from back when doing testing on various oil etc. Synthetic oil 1 year and forget about it.

I do mine at the end of the driving season here in NY. Usually less than 1k in mileage. Car is a ‘15 with about 7.5k. I’d rather the old, however little contaminated, oil not sit in the engine during the off season. I’ll empty and clean the catch can at that time as well. Pennzoil SRT Oil only, so far.

Exactly why I do it in the fall. Fresh oil in the pan doesn't go bad or do anything bad during winter.

I live in NH, near 100 in summer and below 0 in winter, never stored in "climate controlled", never had a problem in over 500kmi (over several vehicles).

People obsess over oil changes, but don't mind driving a cold engine hard, running to redline at every light, and revving the cold engine.

The painful fact of the matter is, engine failure is 99% how you drive and less than 1% oil.

Why does anyone think PUP is SRT "approved" and Mobil 1 is not?!??! One guess: $$$$$ Penn PAID for the endorsement, and it provided a great return:

It is what it is, regardless of the reasons. Reasons you assuming, in any case.
