K&N were the go to but I think Green filter have taken it to the next level by using woven cotton instead of cotton gauze

I’ll look into these. By changing to a filter that flows better will it make the supercharger sound a bit louder as well? I do love that sound!!!

B. Mason on Mopar Chat did some testing on the Green filter vs. Stock filter & the result was the same between the 2 , basically no difference , so if you want more filtration ?... keep the stock one , if you want more sound then go with a CAI.

But, but...aftermarket equals upgrade, doesn't it? It has to.
Whatever, it's a free country, so I can spend money on things that aren't really upgrades if I feel like it.

Nicely done, and I like that he thought it through about the "great" purification of the K&N under pressure (it let all the contamination through so fast that it couldn't be measured). Don't get me wrong, I use K&N on my GTO, but for the Hellcat I think the paper is fine (though I liked the Purolater and Wix stand out - so brand looks like it matters). Thanks for the posting..
I like this guy's chanel. His testing methods are very common sense and he buys all of the products himself no sponsors. I just went out and bought a WallMart battery for Ma's R/T

One problem with K&N filters is that people tend to clean them too frequently.
They need to be a bit dirty to work well.

"Well" still being a relative term.
Biggest problem I've seen is people often far over oil the filter.

A litter of dirt never hurt a stroker. Been a K & N man all my lifester. Bean doing Kerri all my life. If I wasn't drinking,, I'd be stroking out. I am sending my 1st filter back to sea if I could retrieve my $52 back fer a new one. Posted in the past,, left the bag on the filta while washing the critter,, and running while a/c was on. Not a godder thang to do. Sucked that damn thang right up. Sea if I can cash in on that 100, million$$ refund er. Didn't run worth a shit with that bag sucked up. Kinder knew right off the bat the problem.

I ran 124 mph at the track with the stock filter and 126 mph with the Green same lane same day. Did I do a thorough testing at the track, no, started raining. I hope to get some more testing in. I kept the Green in though
