First concert I ever attended. Saw them in ‘65 when I was 12. Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs opened for them.
RIP.

I think I’ll listen to their Little Deuce Coupe album tonight, also my first lp. Probably hasn’t been played in over 50 years.

Just realized there’s like 6 shocks, 4 valve covers, and 2 superchargers in that pic. Looks like ai generated it. Weird

It was released in ‘63, I believe. So, no AI. Some off what you’re seeing is reflection from chrome firewall. The lyrics to Little Deuce Coupe say it’s a flathead and that’s no flathead, though.

I was joking, It’s a drawing though. Look at the rotors. It’s embellished a bit, like a lot of drawing of that era

I'm just going to add another RIP person to this thread.

‘Blazing Saddles’ Comedian Has Died at 90

Beans Morocco, the hilarious actor known for a range of comedies like Blazing Saddles, Used Cars, and Eating Raoul, has died at 90. Morocco, who also starred in a number of television episodes like Mork & Mindy, The Bob Newhart Show, and Growing Pains, carved out a legacy as an improvisation comic and committed actor throughout his life. Morocco died in Bakersfield, California on May 29. His friend Ryan Wise told The Hollywood Reporter that Morocco “was always performing—always entertaining—and he made everyone feel good." His final role was playing an ex-con in the 2024 comedy Killing Cookie, which Wise wrote and directed. Morocco was born Daniel Ernest Barrows in Ohio in 1934. He got his start in the entertainment industry as a member of the famed San Francisco improv group The Committee, which taught iconic performers like Robin Williams.

I remember seeing Blazing Saddles at the Drive-in movies! Hilarious!

It’s the only movie I ever went back to the theater twice to see a second and third time.
