I sat in a new one a couple weeks ago at the dealer. They are beautiful inside. It had a new item. Embedded in front of the FRONT passenger is a LED screen with a HDMI input port.šŸ˜† I believe it had the V6 and not the hybrid which has some problems.
I made the mistake of taking her with me when I went to look for a new Half-Ton truck.. she sat down in a 2018 Grand Cherokee, white exterior, black interior with red stitching… I had to take her out for unlimited sushi just to get her out of the car.

When and if my 2018 Summit 5.7L with 110k ticks any louder, I am just going to buy a new block without cylinder deactivate and get it tuned and just be happy! Hell I’ll keep that sucker for myself as a DD, and give her the Durango! That is what I think I of the 2018.šŸ¤©šŸ‘

I’m glad you got to go have some fun!

I’ve been wanting to get another jeep. But I’m not allowed to buy another vehicle until the Mrs. Gets her new jeep Grand Cherokee.

I was thinking the very same thing and was he still working in the auto parts store? Maybe married and a manager?

I’ve got the MDS on mine, and I plan on changing out to non-MDS valve train sometime this summer. Other than that, she’s amazing!

Well, it’s the same gal I’ve been sweet on for about 6 years now. Not officially married, but hopefully this fall!

I haven’t been in the parts houses for about 4 years now, sadly. Napa and I had very different feelings on how to handle a lot of thievery.
I resigned my management with them, and during my two weeks, they decided to terminate me and in the thefts on me. Sad to say, but they really ruined my love for the auto-parts industry.

I work in the industrial electrical field now, for a great company that takes real good care of me!

From someone who has both:

DO NOT waste your time and $ on the M6. It is way more fun to drive but completely inappropriate for the dragway. Get a RE!!!

The only way to get maximum power to the rear wheels is to hold the rpms near redline and slip the clutch to prevent spin. Very difficult and not something I ever would want to do.

Obviously you had both differentials in an M6 car...not interested in track performance...but day to day street driving...what did you notice...between the 2

3.90 makes it much easier and way more fun to drive! But that's for stock hp.

I have a 2023 manual jailbreak, and I have plans to bring it to around 1000whp or more over time. I have a set of 17x10 weld beadlocks and im wondering what the absolute best tire would be for purpose drag racing. I dont plan on using the welds on the street, just the track. For the best grip and time possible, what would be the best tire? I've seen many say ET Street R but I dont need to streetability. I know there is a bias version of the et street r but I dont know much about it. I'm not knowledgeable of Hoosier in any way. And based on the tire, what is the best pressure to run? Its also a manual so I'm not sure if that is a determining factor for a tire.
Perhaps you should tell us about yourself, car history, racing experience, how you came to own a HC and why, and provide pics of the car. A proper introduction will help convince members that you are not a bot.

My M6 journey started out stock horsepower stock transmission stock differential. First change was more horsepower up to about 800. Then came new transmission was a lower ratio 298 first with stock 370 rear that was a very good combination and that’s the transmission I made my quickest 9.998 pass on at the 850 wheel level. The 2.98 first 3.70 rear and 315/50-17 where the perfect combo for launching a heavy car at the track and the 1.30 3rd gear with the 3.70 rear provided the best 3rd gear speed per second pick up. 2.98 first in stock tire diameter was a little low for the street but I liked that combination because of 3rd gear acceleration was the best. When I broke that transmission during a 2-3 shift I went with a stronger 9310 material transmission and it was not available in a 298 first ratio only 266 which had a higher 1.40 3rd gear ratio, pick up speed per second and third gear suffered so I went with a 390 differential to gain that ratio back. I will have to say the 2.66 ratio and 3.90 rear are probably about the best M6 hellcat combo on the street in my opinion as 4th and 5th gear MPH pickup speed per second are quicker then the 3.70 but top speed is effected and in a mile run with 1000+ to the tire you get into 6th gear and 6th is not made for that purpose, overheats the gear quick. In fourth gear with the 2.66 close ratio trans my engine is at about 6600 rpm when I hit the 1/4 mark which has provided my highest 1/4 speeds of around 146-148 MPH with them takes shift to 5th if doing a 1/3 rd mile 60 mph start roll race. Every M6 shift is a time loser. That’s why when I compare my 60 to 130 times during a quarter mile run versus a just using third and fourth gear sixty to 130 run my 60 to 130 runs are quicker by almost a half second using just 3-4 then using 2-3-4 in that same 60-130 mile per hour area.
I would sell the car for a good price if you want to experience the thrill of 1000+ to the Tire rowing your own!! complete drivetrain is new clutch transmission, driveshaft differential and axles. rides silky smooth and quiet again, pretty much vibration free that’s why it’s never going to the 1/4 track again lol I like it like this!!
