Carbon Fiber Demon Hood on Redeye?

Just wanted to gauge how much pain I will receive from Mopar guys if I put a carbon fiber Demon hood on my Redeye. As stated in a previous post the paint quality on my stock hood is poor and to be honest I was never fond of the dual scoop design. Anderson Composites makes a functional Demon hood that also maintains the "air grabber" CAI. Seems like an easy solution. Just for the record, I know it is my car and my money and believe me I will do whatever I want with it. Just curious how many "how dare you" and "poser" comments to expect.

I'm a Mopar guy and I believe in modding your car into what you want makes it yours. Honestly the only thing I'm not a fan of is incorrect badging. Putting a HC badge on a R/T is just dumb. That all being said I'd say go for it!

Thanks for the replies. Good to see two positive responses in a row. Personally I think FCA did me a favor since they are installing the original Hellcat hood on just about every model of Challenger now.

I like the Demon Hood but are there any fitment issues with the CF hood and the rest of the car.I would lean toward the factory Demon hood painted flat black or have it CF wrapped. Just my .02

I agree with above. Do what puts a smile on your face. I get some grief from people at times for modding my 69 GTX. My car and I like it.

I wouldn't say putting a Demon style hood on your car is being a "Poser"......but be prepared for the question when people that don't know Challengers real well..."Is that a Demon?". Even though it's not a WB, the hood is pretty Demon specific to a lot of people.

Its a AC Demon hood. IAT’s dropped about 20-30 degrees or so with the air grabber and LMI.

You're right! Read the OP's post again...he is a little concerned (but shouldn't be). -But that's not gonna stop the not-so-Mopar people from asking the question. I think the hood looks great!
