So variations on Delmonico or F8 - I'd have probably chosen one of these if not for my built black one

Colors can be hard to pick based on pictures on-line. Once you narrow it down a bit, it's cheap to order samples (at least 1' x 1').
Then using painters tape you can stick them on the car in various lighting situations & parts of the car to get a better feel for what the whole thing is going to look like.

My choices:
that 1st red is interesting (would need to see in person)
satin white with black hood - clean & classic, never out of style
the pistachio is very intriguing, especially with the black hood etc.
as you said, the color flip will get old fast !
dark green is bla to me - gold stripes (or anything) on a car - NOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Every time I wash it I'm surprised about the swirl marks you can see in strong sunlight. I don't really know how they happen as I'm the only person that washes it and I'm always so careful and never do anything but straight lines. I suppose I could have it machine polished and ceramic coated but at some point I'd be back to square one. The built car was a very good price at the time and there was plenty in budget to get it wrapped, it was something I thought I'd do but I've just never got round to it.

Yes, I did that on my Rebel before choosing the wrap for the TRX, I got a decent size of full width of the roll so I could really see what it was like.

Thinking about it the red might be no go as I have a piece similar but in matt and it takes on a brown shade depending on light.
I think the green is a bit too dark, when I was looking to buy a few people said the brighter F8 might not be the best for our climate.

I'll order the Pistachio and if I don't like it I can think about white (its ages since I had a white car and I like them) or look again.

I'm liking the idea of a black side stripe above the crease to better diminish the mirrors and door handles without wrapping them plus the gas cap.

PS. When I said gold I meant a toning metallic colour not chrome gold but point taken that could look terrible too!

Today I finished washing and did a quick wax polish, I've got a new DI Resin water filter to eliminate spotting, it's brilliant. In fact it's so good I'm thinking I can pressure wash frequently and avoid contact washes as much as possible. I have a cordless pressure washer that has its own bucket and I put the filtered water in that and it works well.

So I'm now thinking to get it machine polished and then perhaps Swissvax applied rather than a ceramic. I had that done on the Rebel and it lasts for a fair while.

Revisit the wrap idea next year or even the year after as the black looks good plus I'll have a garage in the not too distant future.

The DI water + low pressure power washer is a great combo, I've used it for 20+ years and the cars look great.
1 tip - it does seem to make rubber stuff (like the door seals) dry out much faster so be sure to dry them off as best you can & keep 'em lubed with a silicon seal protector.

Today I gave the interior a hoover and cleaned the inside glass. All finished for the prom on Thursday, weather forecast says it'll rain between now and then. If needed I can give it a good hose off and towel dry on the day and hopefully be good to go.

I did the Ram last week so I can also give that a quick go over on Thursday incase she changes her mind.

I feel similar about some of the grey colours, they look like shiny primer.
