OK, this is B I G !

I have been studying the images in the Stellantis release.

For the TB and the LC there is a SETTING for HOLDING RPM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For Launch Control you can set between 1000 and 2500 RPM just like before.
For the Trans Brake you can set for 1500 to 2400 RPM.
If you remember 1500 was the minimum RPM to lock the trans and at 2350 you would limp.
I SURE HOPE this is all legit and that these facts remain in the plan for final production. So it seems you CAN go WOT!

Also SUPER Important.
You are going to be able to change the shift torque on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts from a max of 850 ft pounds all the way down to 200 ft pounds. AND, you can change the shift torque recovery from .1 seconds to .75 seconds.

AND you are going to be able to change the Launch Torque Profile on the HIT! You will be able to drag a point on the screen up or down making the profile steep (power comes in as fast as possible) to a very gentle profile taking up to 1.6 seconds for power to be fully ramped in.

This is HUGE in my opinion. I like making good passes and at Irwindale it can be difficult at best, sometimes if not most of the time.

I also wonder how all this will work if you pulley and tune the car. Kind of like the stability control. It does not work effectively when you add a bunch of power to the current Demons/Hellcats.


Did you end up with an allocation?

The real problem with the original t-brake the lack of a 2 step.

Sounds like that may have been fixed. But that R/T on the slip was still a 1.4xx, so Jimmy wasn't really paying attention to the tree either.

Kind of hope Dodge comes out and drops another 1000 allocations like they did the Durango Hellcat. Going to be my only shot unless a full blown recession happens and people walk away from these deals.

Looks like DA was around -500ish. DA looked to move a lot. Coulda been -1100 if time slip time is off by an hour like it is at my track most times.

Author says he used Micky Thompson ET Street E tires?? What's that?
He also said he went online to that time to come up with -300. I can use 3 different sites along with a kestrel in my hand and could be 4 different da reading. It wasn't some crazy -1500 and why I think someone will run that time way faster then the 9.65 of the demon

Hmmm. Might be worth trying out.

I can't wait to get my hands on the calibration out of one of these cars. That race gas timing table was always the 2018 Demon's Achilles heel. The timing came in to abruptly and on anything less than ideal track prep the car spins. These new settings on the D170 are just adjusting how power delivery comes on so you can set the car up for the surface. There are tables in my current tune that allow for the same, but you can't adjust it on the fly, have to adjust the tune and reload. Mike showed them to me at ChallengerFest a couple years ago and I went from running 10.2 spinning off the line to consistent 9.80s instantly. It was an eye opener for me and the table names weren't obvious in HPT, makes me wonder if they're mislabeled.
