My wife and I were on the freeway and my steering started binding. Then a flash across the dash that my water temperature was maxing out along with the ac not working. I was able to get off the freeway at an arco station. I opened the hood and the belt was all wrapped and shredded at the front of the engine bay.
So it needed to be towed. Luckily one of my daughters was able to pick us up.
I do not mind the power steering going out or the ac in an emergency. But the ect Will strand us.
I was thinking of doing an electric water pump made for street use. Is there one to use and do you recommend one for street use?

The green belt is for the supercharger. Not for the water pump.

Cool. Did not know they made a green belt for the accessories. Thinking about it I do not think I had a belt problem. I have a feeling the water pump seized. I was hearing marbles the last few days from the front of the engine bay.

Good luck getting her running again.

Get in touch with the team at www.hhpracing.com and look into their offerings.

I chose a stock replacement for mine last week as I did the work myself and did not want to add anything else electrically.

If an OEM one is desired, get with www.eastcoastmoparts.com for the best prices and two day shipping for my experience. Have lots of recent experience in that install with photos.

I heard from the mechanic today. It was an accessory pulley that froze up. The bearings went bad. We are replacing all accessory pulleys and the tensioner.
