I have a 21 Super Stock I just had to put a new Transmission in my car went with Sipple ever since I installed I have had a problem where my charging system will overcharge when it happens the dash and all acsessorys will cycle off and then turns back on and battery light comes on and stays on the only way to reset light is to pull ground at rear of right side wheel house then light goes out and charging system is good until it sits overnight then in am light is back on this thing is driving me crazy any idea

I don't think the Charging system has anything to do with a Transmission install, because they run on seperate systems.
The timing may have been a coincidence and the battery, may need to be replaced.

Check the main ground from the transmission bell housing the the shock tower. That will cause all kinds of issues if it wasn’t reconnected when trans was installed

If you can’t get the car up in the air, remove the wipers/cowl and yank on it from up top (with battery disconnected)

That was the first thing I checked it was the only common in this problem The secondary wire that is connected with the the ground at rear of block to cowl is the one I disconnected and the light and charging system goes back to normal ?

So it is connected to the transmission?

I would not disconnect any grounds and power on the car, it’ll find other places to ground.

Only pulled ground with car off
Pulling grounds with car running is not a good idea

If something is shorting to ground it won’t always throw a code, you’d have to read the codes from the BCM or other modules themselves. But yeah, it sounds like the transmission swap could be unrelated and just bad timing. How long was power disconnected for the transmission swap? I’m not sure what that 2nd ground circuit is for off the top of my head I’d have to look at a wire diagram. I think a few people have had this overcharging issue and replaced the battery and or alternator on relatively new hellcats

Didn’t disconnect the ground terminal on the battery to pull the transmission or the ground? Or install?

Always wanted to say this but never had an opportunity. Electrical problems are hard and no fun. ----Well, good luck Chuck.
