Curious why you changed your belt already?

I do not have a Redeye, but had my HC and other supercharged vehicles. I am assuming you are referring to the diagonal lines crossing the belt where the words / logos are, and not the lines / discoloration that runs along the belt in the same plane as the words. These, the discoloration in the plane of the belt, looks cosmetic to me (but then as noted, I have not used the Redeye Gates belt). The diagonal lines are more concerning to me. I suspect, given their placement, that they are an artifact of the manufacturing process (perhaps when the logo is applied / stamped / molded). Were they there when the belt was installed? Was it done for you, or did you do it yourself? If you bought the belt, it was pristine, and once on the car it has those lines / scratches I would suspect the installer.

Mine was completely black by 4k miles. I took a damp sponge and sprayed it with purple power while engine was running and now its nice and clean again.

I don't know if you want to spray your belt with a cleaning product, do you think it may affect the strength/integrity of the belt??? I dunno, probably worrying about nothing.

I just replaced my belt last week at 25k miles, not because it had a problem but I just figured it may be time. It wasn't very green anymore either. now with a fresh green belt and a freshly cleaned air filter, it makes me want to detail the rest of the engine bay :)

Just check your wear indicator on belt tensioner, should be in the middle.

Mine ripped off at about 8K miles under a hard pull on the street. Had to drive it without the belt to the dealer. Once they replaced it was good to go. No incident since I’m over 11k now. 2019 Redeye here.
