So, I'm getting a haircut in Mason, MI. The next customer that was waiting for me to finish was known by my barber as someone who worked at the proving grounds in Chelsea. My barber asked me about the Hellcat and the guy said they had a Drag Pak in the other day. I asked him some questions and here's some of the things he said.
He thinks #7 will be Hellephant based and they are shooting for 1,000 hp.
He can't believe that with all the effort they're putting in, that the V8 ICE cars will be abandoned so quickly. He expects them to keep postponing its demise.
He agreed no one wants an EV muscle car no matter how quick it is. He said they had an EV Porsche in that did 0-60 in 2.2 sec. Fastest car he'd driven, but they referred to it as the toaster because it was more like an appliance.
Sounds great if the order banks open. From what I was told by the dealer at Chapman CDJR yesterday the order banks for 2023 are likely to never open. But they said they’d let me know if they did. They just sold 3 WB charger cats off the lot this week.
Smart money would be on anything that uses up what they have on hand, can be re-labeled and sold at a premium, and requires no special effort, particularly from the SRT team which no longer exists. Expect paint. decals, colors, anything that implies uniqueness, no matter how gaudy.
Yes Mike it’s true car # 7 is a sticker car that says 1000HP on the quarter panel sticker, it’s the model with no reference to what’s under the hood it’s just called 1000HP

How embarrassing. It’s hard to believe this is the same company that had the balls to give us the original HC, then the Demon. So what are they going to blame it on if they don’t build any 23s the supply chain?🙄
