Had a Turbo 5.0 on the dyno the other day... I'm very impressed.

There's a lot to be impressed about with these motors. Yeah yeah but this is a hemi forum... So what. The gen 3 hemi motors have been around for 20+ years without a refresh. Ford at least has done three iterations of the coyote and each one getting better.


So at 12 PSI this thing made 860 to the wheels. 12 PSI in a Mopar ain't making that. Hemi's for sure are torque monsters down low so there's that but up high at 7000+ RPMs this thing is singing. Paired with forced induction, weeeeeeee wooooooo. There are pros and cons to every motor, you sacrifice one thing to make another work. Torque vs HP.... yada yada... Hope you enjoyed the short.

well a dohc 4 valve head motor is always going make more peak hp against a pushrod motor of equal size but lots wider to get in the engine bay. both make plenty especially on the streets

well a dohc 4 valve head motor is always going make more peak hp against a pushrod motor of equal size but lots wider to get in the engine bay. both make plenty especially on the streets
Also typically in a much lighter vehicle…
