yeah I’m guessing they work independently but don’t hold pressure independently.

Dude that sucks !

So it is completely through the body of the unit? Sorry to hear about that, but could be worse - could have spewed gasoline all of the place. Those are not a single piece, right? So you can replace only the one that is bad? Is there a wider photo of that area in context with what is around it?

Is it possible they came that way, shipping damage?

Unlikely, but damn.

Its probably possible to change that one pump, but I'd prefer they just send me a new hat assembly. Funny thing is, the plug photo up top almost shows the crack, but that was taken without the pumps all the way out, upside down(my phone almost fell in the tank lol). I was just looking with my phone to see if the plug was there. Wasn't until I took everything completely out until I saw the crack. I'll get a wider shot of it tonight

To me, the quality and the packaging seem top notch... I have seen the way ups drivers can sling packages around

Go on eBay and buy two 525lph pumps for about 300 and upgrade it’s easy to install the pumps yourself they have an ending part number if 295 so They are called. 295 pumps and they don’t have check valves which is actually better then the check valve type, they are least likely to fail

Sorry I'm late to the party but glad you figured it out. Sometimes notifications from the forum are sporadic for me.

Maybe it's the angle of the picture, but as I look at that assembly, the overall geometry of the pumps and the bracket don't look good.

Am I seeing that wrong? The pump on the right looks like it's tweaked toward the centerline. The cracked pump looks like it would be tweaked towards the centerline if it weren't for the crack.

Thoughts?

At least it saves a little work... still have to take out the whole assembly. Glad everything seems to be working out and you'll be on the road next week or maybe this weekend

The hat was just loose in that picture and I think it throws it off a bit. Here is a better shot. Two stabs on the pump look like it hit something at some point

285 don’t have a check valve
I think 285’s do have check valves but 295’s are the ones that don’t.
