I’ve been 224 quarter mile in a dragster. Sixty foot in 0.98 is insane. Back half of the runs are mild compared to the launch. Sh** can happen fast.

I would like to try - I am boring only about 135 on occasion, but I am looking for an event / track to run a top speed somewhere close to the west coast... I guess I am getting a little more cautious over the years.
What is the closest place to the Pacific Northwest?

Just curious how many have been over 200. It was actually a smooth ride. Unfortunately we had a mechanical issue and left on Saturday and Jay Leno showed up on Sunday.
Did you let off the gas?

Tried, but backed off because of 555r's in the rear.
Wise... they are speed rated to 149, one of the reasons my top speed on the display is ... you guessed it.... 149.

Man, I remember 30 years ago when 160 on the freeway was fast as hell lol

For speed.... these two:

1. The scandanavian Nut... 360 KPH on public highways.

I can explain why the law can't do anything to him (mostly) there if anyone is interested.

2. Thrust SSC 763.1 mph on the ground (that's supersonic of course) This video is crap - I have some of the raw footage from the vertical stabilizer that also tracks the driver coms. Bad ass.

EDIT: I have to add I still, after 23 years, chuckle when the SSC goes by the Jetranger that's flying flat out like its sitting still. (had to pull my file and watch it again)

Every once in a while, every other week, at 6:30 pm as the sun is drowning into the gulf. 1 mile from the house is US 19, 8 lanes. That time nobody on the road. Usually 135 to 140 in 4th. Goes very quickly. Using a Rocky Mountain detector and scrambler. So far so good. Faster than that,,, tires start to bounce round in my head. Vetts,,, 165 over the bridge to Tampa.

Yes. We were still doing test and tune.
I think with practice, traction and the full run we would have easily been 220. The car was as smooth as could be.

Whom says that's the answer?? A critter that stict ster in the back of my small mind is all ways the tires. Rest of the car is fine as a dime. But having watched the cars around here, no matter time of ear and sum time tires. Is the tires faulting and no matter whoms tires. Get en over 165 the body and cage will not support the problem. Just me and my watching too many U tubes,, noe moe,, and not enough Diamond Dolls, cause a new class just graduated 3 miles down the street. Problem solved is,,, go to the track. Yepper// Still the gals luv US 19 at 6 Pm in between breaks. Vibrations aspects is better than a yager shot,,,, of what??

My best. Last Saturday during a sanctioned event with a police escort on a public road. 181 mph if you cannot see it.

This might be cheating, but on land 431 kph or 267 mph, (for us Americans}, is the fastest I've ever been.

International travel on a Bullet train.

Traveling at that speed was quite a thrill.

For relativity that is 391 feet per second. That is Fast.

That would be a lot more fun. When you are racing there is too much going on to appreciate how fast it goes by.
