Was fortunate enough to be a passenger at a track in a McLaren 570S one year, and then in a 720 the following year (same 29 YO owner BTW)...
The experience kind of warps your mind regarding braking grip etc.
After a day of piloting the Hellcat around a road course and then hopping one of those? We came down the front straight (which is actually the runway of the track owner's private airstrip) towards turn 1, this kid still has the gas planted to the floor as we blow past the marker where I'm already fully on the binders (and he's going at least 10 - 20 MPH faster than i was). My thought was, "That's it. We're in the weeds. No way he's making this turn.' Then it brakes harder than seems possible...and turns with G forces I would kill for.
Do it for the experience (and let the pro drive a bit). Just keep your checkbook at home...
