@BULL
Didn't you win a Jokers ported snout?

I won the porting, but I never did anything with it...

Any particular reason why?
Warranty?
Just didn't want to do the mod?

Combination of factors, timing, factory warranty, the initial durability issues (which to the best of my knowledge have been resolved now), then I never followed up and it grew "stale". The other thing was that I wanted to do it with a "spare" snout, and couldn't find one (nor did I put much of any effort into finding one either)

Fear and laziness? Are you sure you're a Marine?

Just bustin' your chops man. I understand. I almost bought a Jokerz ported snout when they were first available too but decided against it for the same reasons. He's got it all sorted out now, I haven't heard of any more cases of cracked snouts in quite some time.

You have seen the picture of my fleet car-payments in my driveway from other threads, right?

Can you get an overlay of the 2 pulls with boost reference? I'd be surprised if you lost that much boost, I imagine the porting freed some up.
Not surprised you didn't retune for the pulley, but thought everyone needed a new tune when they put the larger TB on? Did they sort that stuff out?

Looks like it was still climbing. Nifty... but, we've also determined what excessive engine speed can do to these engines.

It would be nice if folks could stop looking at boost as a measure of performance. It is too inconsistent between applications. Air mass and flow increased with the reduced restrictions, and the air charge temps likely decreased with the reduce blower speed/boost. How much would be good data to have.

The shop that did the build on my Scat also ports blowers and snouts for Jokerz .. there are so many to do Jokerz can't do them all so they farm some out. UPS brings 20-30 a day. their 5 Axis CNC machine runs 24/7 . this is a very popular and successful mod being done for Dodge and GM stuff.

They're checking the logs for me to see how much boost it's making. According to Jokerz, it's not supposed to gain much boost at all, I've heard .5psi.

As for the TB, I dont think it's an issue unless the TB is an oval TB according to what I've been told but you would typically see those on an aftermarket blower. I ran the 100mm BBK on the stock blower for about 2 weeks before I had the ported blower installed. It ran just fine.

The car has a chiller anyway so my air temps are already much cooler than most. Yea, it looks like it could have continued to make more power but I dont have a Redeye block so it's not worth pushing it too far.

I see why, it's very effective.

I'd wait until the IHI 3.0 snouts become commercially available before laying down money on a Frankenstein'd snout.

Have not heard of a IHI 3.0 snout. Can you provide any details?

I'm guessing he's referring to the Hellephant blower which some believe will become available in the near future.

Partially correct. Check out @Hpindy 's build thread - I've posted two updates on the snout and he's inquired directly with his contacts.
