It won't pole vault.
It’ll only pole vault if it breaks at the trans side?

So I should have 2 loops since it’s a 2 piece shaft?
I always wondered that myself. Now I have a 1 piece.

Yep. It can lodge into the pavement.

I'm not going to debate but safety should be your #1 priority.
True, but honestly I’ve had just about every bolt on the car undone, I’m surprised the wheels even stayed on going down the track 🤣

Honestly more worried about the flexplate coming loose than driveshaft breaking, when I was putting it on didn’t have anyone locking the crank or a proper tool. Also didn’t realize you could just put a screwdriver through the holes in it to lock it while you torque the crank bolts. I’m sure it’s fine ish

Unholy we gotta teach you what the post edit button does :ROFLMAO:

The exhaust will catch the drive shaft at the trans end so the car won't pole vault. A broke drive shaft becoming a buzz saw I can't speak to but I'd rather it not break at the diff, blow through the fuel tank, and cause me to be burned a live.

They had some on there, were brand new Oem bolts so had the blue stuff on the threads already. Which are shorter than the crank bolts for the m6 flywheel btw. But I had the blower off and intake ports open so engine turned over pretty easily

Does this help if it breaks at the diff as well?
No loop is in the front. Diff breaks you have a mess still

I have a 2 piece, I imagine if it went at the back the carrier bearing mount points would keep it in place, and if the back went bad the rear half would still screw stuff up anyway.
