How the hell did you get the Jet Ski up on the trunk?
Back the Trans Am down the launching ramp?

I was looking up how the Challenger did in the Jet Ski and Refrigerator Carrying tests that Car and Driver conducts but they don't say how they get the jet ski on the trunk.

I suspect he did it with the power of a mullet and mustache.

It took two of us...we lifted the front up on to the thick full size lounge cushion..(this was the old style stand on jet ski)...then one guy lifted the back..the other guy pulled the cushion from the front while turning it...I'm just surprised we never broke the back window in the process...the spoiler on the trans am kept it from sliding off the trunk...it really worked very well..back then i swore I would NEVER own a pickup truck...I've owned over 13 of them since...

Isn't it funny how those cars were treated back then? They got the shit beat out them from top to bottom, front to back. I commute to work in a 74 Firebird Formula 400 4 speed but only on sunny days. I treat it like it's a piece of gold. Funny how the mindset changes over time.

Let me see if I can find the Superbird with a moose head tied to the top of the rear wing.

:(

In 76..the Trans AM 455...was the last car that had any vestige of cool..pitifully slow..but it was fun for what it was...(mopar had nothing to offer in 76)..the torque was respectable..with the stick...it would tow my jet boat (and jet ski) with ease....

Found me a 1973 SD Trans Am behind a gas station in Lubbock Texas when I was in college. Nuclear fireball orange. I came within spitting distance of buying. Wish I had now. Honey comb wheels.

It was all original, 4 speed (you get what you get - like 128 or something manufactured that year), low miles. The managers car. Ah well.

lol, know how much of a stupid car guy I am? I remember clearly what that car looked like, and where it was the first time I saw it, all these decades later, but I can't remember things that arguably might be at least as important, like the face of my first death penalty client (who was also my first client out of law school).

Indeed. If someone did that today, there would be a thread about it.
