One HUGE caveat of these type of ratings is the car whey use as a testbed. Usually they use a car with an average or even lighter than average weight, like a BMW3. If you read the actual review they will disclose the car. Some tires might be great on a 3klb car, but suck on a 4.5k car. Back in the day I bought Dunlops for my SL600 based on great reviews. The 600 ground them to the wear lines in 15kmi...

And who did this comparison-evaluation??
Michelin gets a straight 7.5 rating. Is that the opinion of like ONE evaluator?
No sh!t. I’m going to listen to a couple of my “buddies” whom I know drive like me and I can trust THEIR opinions because they have tried a few different other products also. We have a few on this Forum, thanks guys and you too Sis.:geek:
It doesn't appear that The Tire Rack just uses one evaluator.
The second pic I posted pointed that out (at the arrow it said "we").

And their "How Does Tire Rack Test Tires" web page backs this up:
"Each test allows our team to experience each of the products in a short period of time, giving them a real back-to-back comparison under controlled conditions."

And finally, in one of their video tests that I watched, they said "our drivers" not "our driver".

Hope that clears things up.

And just what are the odds that the tire rack team of drivers are unbiased? (pun intended :p )

Yes indeed. Trust no one!
Why would we trust a company that has been testing tires for a measly 30 years.;)
A company that sells over 30 brands of tires and keeps a million different tires in stock.

Everyone has sponsors and everyone gets paid. Better off reading reviews of people who spent their own money to buy the tires

Everyone has their own personal opinions, void of any facts or data to back them up. Better off going to the experts than just a few scant people.

You're in the wrong place then. Everyone on here speaks from real world experience with different products they purchase with their own money. That's the whole point of a forum

Really smacks a guy around when we are accused of containing no facts or data. Before I retired even had a title of “expert” and they paid me handsomely just for my opinion. Damn dumb ass now I guess.

Still going to spend $2,000 on PS4S A/S tires for my Durango in the next couple of weeks. Still wearing the Michelin tires on the Challenger with two Cup 2 and two Cup 2R’s on those beautiful Triumph wheels for my track pleasure in the corner of the garage. Going to install the OEM wheels/tires for a major dealer visit this week. I think I’ll try the burn-out button and try to catch the old Pirelli tires on fire and “dig a hole”.

You're in the wrong forum then. Not everyone here speaks from unbiased views with the products they've purchased. The more learned one's use 3rd party data acquisition like dyno facilities, drag strips, etc. They use many sources to help make informed decisions, not exclude them. That's the whole point of the forum.

Really dumbs down humanity when we can't make use of statistical analysis in our choices. Still using the DWS06 tires on my SRT 392. Going to install them on every other vehicle I get unless something else better is manufactured commensurate to its price. For all season driving, it remains the top rated tire. And for good reason. People have gotten lost in this thread, as the OP was specifically asking about wet traction.

Looks like I'm going to have to add more people to my ignore list ...

Please do. If you want to declare me your enemy for expressing my opinion, go for it. I was going to type something more nice until I was reading you are a liberal aSS and want to silence me.

I could give a shit what tire you want to buy, before you silence me read that MF.
