Seems like the fast eight is not competitive except between the two fastest cars? No chance for # 8 to win unless somebody breaks or runs out

Do they have a dial in? I thought that it was heads up?

This was my 3rd Hemi quick 8 and my 1st where I didn't red light:LOL:

I was a second faster then last year and was number 8. A lot of 9 second cars and I know 3 regulars that run 9s that were not there

This is why I like index racing. Everyone is evenly matched.

The quick 8 is a bonus. The point of the Hemi shootout is the 3 passes where the top average in the 9,10,11,12,13,14,and 15 classes wins so every body has a chance to win

You also get $100 for losing 1st round in the quick 8

Oh and don't forget, the whole thing is free to the 1st 75 for every race. I made 7 passes total this weekend and won $200

Top 8 should be handicapped to your average. You would get a different winner than someone named J.

The Dodge // Mopar HEMI Shootout saw 36 cars competing for the trip to the Winner’s Circle and Ed Springstead claimed the overall win with a 9.05-second average in his 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Josh Schwartz took the runner-up honors with a 9.31 and Alan Scruggs received the 9-second award for his 9.47 average. Other winners include Jim Burr (10-second), Michael Smith (11-second), Jimmy Kline (12-second), Charles Tyree (13-second), Mike Sanders (14-second), and Tim Burkett (15-second).

The quickest eight cars in the HEMI Shootout are automatically entered into the HHP Racing HEMI Quick 8. In the final round, Josh Schwartz squared off against Ed Springstead, and Springstead secured the win with an 8.52 to Schwartz’ 8.54.

I didn't think that car was that fast on Friday. Are they bolt on wheel flares on the back?

There were 2 white ones. One was much slower than that one.

At MHSH, at VMP, that car was booking down the track. He hit a launch so hard they blew off. Think they are double sides taped on.
